Hind sight is a wonderful thing. With the cyclone on its way to New Zealand this week it is a timely reminder to make sure you would be ready in case of a civil emergency.

Do you have a bag packed with extra warm clothes, torches, food and any medications that you take regularly? Do you have all important documents ready to grab and take with you? Do you know where you will go – should you need to leave your home?

In the case of a civil emergency you may not be able to return to your home for a minimum of days – or indefinitely.
